Unlike password-protected ZIP files or simple encryption, Copy Secure applies content protection at the device and file interaction level. Files remain accessible for legitimate viewing, but usage controls remain enforced regardless of the system the drive is connected to.

How Copy Secure Works

Copy Secure combines Nexcopy’s proprietary content protection technology with controlled USB media. During production, files are processed using Nexcopy’s Drive Wizard software or duplication systems, applying copy protection rules directly to the content written to the drive.

End users do not install software, drivers, or plugins. Protected content runs directly from the USB flash drive. Administrators can reset and re-provision drives using Nexcopy’s management software, applying new content and protection settings as part of the reconfiguration process.

The Drive Wizard software supports production of up to three USB drives at a time, making it suitable for short runs, internal distribution, and small batch production without requiring dedicated duplication hardware.

For higher volume production, organizations can use Nexcopy’s professional duplication systems such as the USB160PRO, which supports simultaneous configuration and loading of up to 16 devices per batch for efficient large-scale deployment.
